Problems when running autogen.sh
autogen.sh will generate a "configure" script that will generate a set of Makefiles. Make sure you're using automake version 1.8.4 at minimum. On Debian GNU/Linux, automake may point to 1.4x or 1.6x or. Run "update-alternatives -c automake" as root to make it point to another version.

Errors when running 'make' after the configure phase
