Getting Help
From ODE Wiki
The best place to get help with ODE is the mailing list. This is a low traffic (5-10 emails/day), high signal list. Archives from before 2007-12-05 can be found at http://www.ode.org/old_list_archives/.
If you would like to report a bug, please check the Bug Tracker and Patch Manager to see if it has already been reported. You might want to ask for help on the mailing list as well; your problem may have already been solved. If it turns out that you have found a new issue, please use the Bug Tracker to report it. We used to accept bug reports on the mailing list but too many of them ended up falling through the cracks.
You can also request new features, but be aware that most ODE users are very busy with their own projects.
If you have fixed a bug or implemented a new feature and would like to see it added to ODE, generally the best approach is to create a patch and submit it to the Patch Manager. If you plan on making frequent changes, you can ask for SVN access on the mailing list. The community is very, very happy to accept good code submissions. You can also have a look at the ODE Development page on this wiki for more information.
There is also a ODE web-forum, but please note that it is distinct from the mailing-list, and there is less traffic
